HOW DO I...
CONTACT THE SURGERY ?
Many queries regarding surgery
times, specialist appointments, test results etc can be answered by
the receptionist.
If you wish to speak to the
doctor, the receptionist will tell you the best time to phone.
HOW DO I...
OBTAIN HOME VISITS ?
House calls are for those
who are too ill to travel to the surgery. In general, unwell children
can safely be brought to the surgery.
If you are unsure whether
a house call is required, please phone and speak to one of the doctors
who can advise you further. Requests for house calls should be made
before 10:00am.
HOW DO I...
OBTAIN REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS ?
Duncairn Medical centre now has most long-term medication on
our computer system. Please allow a full 24 hours for repeat prescriptions and preferably two working days.
Requests may be handed in at reception or by telephone. Please have the name, dose and quantity of the
drugs you require. You will be given a computer request slip; please use this whenever possible. We suggest
that our patients on long-term medicines should be seen at six-monthly intervals.
Always order your prescriptions in good time, don't
wait until your tablets are finished.
HOW DO I...
MAKE SUGGESTIONS ?
We are happy to hear of any
comments or suggestions from our patients. We would be delighted to
consider anything which would improve the comfort of our patients or
our service to them.
HOW DO I...
MAKE COMPLAINTS ?
We hope that most problems can be sorted out easily and
quickly, preferably at the time they arise and with the person concerned.
We always try to provide
the best service possible, but there may be times when you feel that
this has not happened! If you have a complaint please feel free to draw
it to the attention of one of the doctors and we will endeavour to deal
with your complaint thoroughly and swiftly.
